South Strabane Township police have released this photo from a surveillance video that shows the woman who robbed two banks at Trinity Point just after 2 p.m. Friday.

South Strabane Township police are hoping that a shopper or driver in the area of Trinity Point shortly after 2 p.m. Friday can help investigators track down the woman who robbed two banks.

A woman robbed the Wes Banco branch at 1003 Trinity Circle at 2:22 p.m. Eleven minutes later, she robbed the First Commonwealth Bank at Trinity Place. Both banks are right off Route 19 (Washington Road) near the Murtland Avenue interchange of Interstate 70.

The robber is white, about 5-feet, 9-inches to 5-feet, 11-inches tall with a medium build and brown hair with highlights. She was wearing blue jeans, white sneakers and dark rimmed glasses. She wore a dark, hooded sweatshirt under a puffy jacket when she robbed the Wes Banco. When she robbed First Commonwealth, she wore what appears to be a red scarf hat and a dark, hooded sweatshirt.

“We are hoping that someone saw her in the area,” Detective Kenneth Torboli said. “There were customers in both banks at the time of the robberies. But she was in and out so quickly, no one even noticed her.”

Police on Monday released multiple photos taken from surveillance videos at the banks to help them identify the robber.

“It was a busy time in the area right before the holiday,” Torboli added. “Someone might have seen something that didn’t mean anything to them at the time. But something after seeing her picture, we are hoping might be able to give us some information that can help us find her.”

The woman fled after getting an undisclosed amount of cash from both banks, but no vehicle was seen leaving the area. The woman did not show a weapon and no injuries were reported, Torboli said.

“She just passed a note demanding the money,” the detective said.

Torboli said it is unusual for a woman to rob a bank.

Anyone who recognizes the woman is asked to call South Strabane police at 724-225-8111.
