Club names girls of the month
CARMICHAELS – The Carmichaels Area Women’s Civic Club has named its girls of the month for November and December.
Jessica Reeves was selected girl of the month for November and Kenzie Blasinsky girl of the month for December. Both are seniors at Carmichaels Area High School.
Reeves, a daughter of Timothy and Linda Reeves of Carmichaels, is a member of the National Honor Society, student council, SADD, yearbook staff, chemistry club, ski club and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
She is treasurer of the senior class and a proofreading editor for the school newspaper. Reeves is a member of the senior high marching band and is drumline captain.
She works bingo at Carmichaels fire hall and attends St. Hugh’s Catholic Church, where she is an altar server, helps with vacation Bible school and is a member of teen Bible study.
She plans to attend California University of Pennsylvania and become an elementary school teacher.
Blasinsky, a daughter of Jeff and Krissi Blasinsky of Carmichaels, is president of the National Honor Society and the chemistry club. She is editor-in-chief of the school newspaper.
Blasinsky is a member of SADD, student council, yearbook staff, Big Brothers Big Sisters, art club, drama club, band and chorus.
She is a student teacher in the CPA Junior Musical Theater Program and is a student at the CPA Senior Company Musical Theater. She participated in Spotlight at the State Theater in Uniontown.
Blasinsky plans to attend West Virginia University and major in nursing.
