Police Beat Jan. 6

Guns stolen: Chaz Heintz of North Central Avenue told police his Mossberg tactical rifle and three pistols were stolen from his residence while he slept Monday.
Pedestrian faces charge: Judy Beachy, 47, of 703 Valley View Terrace, Canonsburg, will be charged with public drunkenness after a witness told police Beachy stumbled into the path of a vehicle driven by Colleen Domick, 59, of South Central Avenue, about 7 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Pike Street and North Central Avenue. Beachy told police she had left a club on North Jefferson Avenue. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.
Mother charged: Maria D. Meuey, 25, of 40 Belair Drive, Canton, was charged last week by state police with possession of heroin and endangering the welfare of children after police said she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her apartment after an apparent overdose. She was revived with Narcan, police said. There was a stamp bag on the bathroom floor, and her 3-year-old daughter was in the apartment, according to police. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Indecent assault charges: Christopher Lee Anderson, 39, of 133 Indiana Ave., Houston, was arraigned last week on charges of indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors filed for allegedly inappropriately touching a young girl between August 2010 and August 2015. He was released on $50,000 unsecured bond following his arraignment before District Judge David Mark. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Mark on Jan. 21.
Sunglasses stolen: Rebecca Yarkosky of 100 Cedar Lane told police Monday a pair of sunglasses valued at $200 were stolen from her unlocked vehicle.
Electric cords cut: Cara Ford of 206 Roth St. told police Sunday extension cords outside her home were cut, as was a cord on Christmas decorations.
Assault charge: Damen R. Gamble, 24, of 603 S. Central Ave., Canonsburg, was charged with simple assault and criminal mischief after allegedly kicking in the front door of his ex-girlfriend’s home early Friday. Whitney Farmer of Hancock Street sustained minor injuries to her arm trying to keep the door closed. Gamble was able to get in, then fled when Farmer called police. He later returned and was taken into custody. Gamble was placed in Washington County jail.
Possession charge: Robert E. Bennett, 57, 455 Taylorstown Ridge Road, Claysville, was allegedly found to be in possession of two spoons with heroin residue, an empty stamp bag and a suboxone wrapper Dec. 5, after a township officer responded to the area of Ridgewood and Woodridge drives for the report of a suspicious man. A possession of drug paraphernalia charge will be sent by summons.
Theft, receiving charges: Thomas James Donnelly, 18, of 1947 Parkside Drive, Elizabeth, was charged Tuesday with retail theft, theft by deception and receiving stolen property for allegedly concealing $252 in merchandise at Walmart, Sara Way, Rostraver police said. He then went to customer service and obtained gift cards, police said. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joseph A. Dalfonso.
Four injured: Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash about 6:40 p.m. Friday on Washington Road at Trinity Point Drive, police said. A vehicle driven by Nichole Secilia, 23, of Crucible, was southbound on Washington when she went through a red light as she made a left turn into the path of a vehicle driven by Craig Fry, 43, of 541 Potomac Drive, South Strabane, police said. Secilia and a passenger in her car, Cyle Ritenour, 22, of 132 Schroyers Lane, Carmichaels, and a passenger in Fry’s vehicle, Monica Fry, 41, also of 541 Potomac, were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Craig Fry declined treatment for a thumb injury.
Purse stolen: Courtney Washington of Elm Street told police Monday her purse containing identification, a food stamp card and $800 was stolen from her kitchen table.
Drug charges: Glenna J. Janoski, 49, of 595 Maple Ave., and Melissa L. Neson, 40, of 1228 Highland Ave., California, are charged with one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia after a search warrant of Janoski’s residence revealed smoking devices used to consume cocaine, according to court documents. Detectives from the Washington County Drug Task Force had been watching the home for about three weeks and executed the warrant with Washington and state police July 28. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Two injured: Michael Steele, 22, of Washington, and Sandra Leoni, 54, of Scenery Hill, were injured Dec. 28 when their vehicles collided head-on on Dutch Glory Road near Mong Road, West Bethlehem. State police said Steele was going south when his vehicle crossed into the other lane, hitting Leoni’s northbound vehicle. Both drivers were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.
