Financial adviser earns retirement certification

WAYNESBURG – Michael A. Milinovich, an investment adviser at Milinovich & Co., Inc., has earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional designation from The American College in Bryn Mawr.
The RICP education curriculum is the most complete and comprehensive programs available to professional financial advisers looking to help their clients create sustainable retirement income. The three-course credential helps advisers master retirement income planning, a key focus area not fully covered in other professional programs.
People who earn an RICP can provide expert advice on a broad range of retirement topics including income needs and objectives, estate issues and other risks to the retirement income planning, Social Security, health insurance, housing decisions and income taxation.
Milinovich gained his pension and investment skills first as an auditor for many different types of plans and companies, then as an administrator of the pensions for all clergy of the United Methodist Church’s Western Pennsylvania Conference while he served as secretary.
Milinovich also worked as the Pension and Benefit Coordinator for Monongahela Valley Hospital and oversaw, administered and helped create the new pension plans and benefit packages for the Mon-Vale Health System’s more than 3,000 current and retired employees.
The accounting firm of Milinovich & Co. was established in 1949 by the late Michael A. Milinovich, CPA, and has provided tax and accounting services for more than 60 years. Milinovich joined the family firm in January 2015.
