Police beat Jan. 8

Assault charge: Melanie Lynn Broker, 43, of 518 Weaver Ave., was arrested Wednesday on charges of simple assault and harassment after she allegedly struck David Bauer while he tried to prevent her from driving, borough police said. Broker was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and was released from Washington County jail on $5,000 unsecured bond.
Assault: George Wood Jr., 45, of 133 Thompson Ave., was arrested on a charge of simple assault after Donora police said he grabbed and pushed a woman through a glass window Wednesday. Wood was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Woman charged: Maryjane Burch, 45, of 52 Highland Ave., was arrested Wednesday after allegedly threatening her landlord with a knife as she refused to pay rent, Washington police said. Officers found Burch with a knife and she had to be persuaded to put down it down. Burch was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and disorderly condcut and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Gun stolen: Torrison Fuller, of East Prospect Avenue, told Washington police Wednesday a .38-calilber revolver was missing from her residence. The theft occurred after Jan. 1, police said.
Account accessed: Jaimee Stuchell, of Allison Avenue, reported to Washington police Wednesday $1,419 was withdrawn from her PNC bank account after her Xbox Live account was accessed, police said.
