Chartiers police looking for driver

Chartiers Township police are asking the driver of a vehicle that was behind a vehicle that crashed Christmas night on Route 519 (Western Avenue) near the ATI Allegheny Ludlum plant contact the department.

A vehicle driven by Holden Alexander, 17, of Houston was heading north about 9 p.m. when it left the road and then returned, went out of control and headed south. The car then hit a utility pole near the plant entrance, flipped and landed on its roof.

Alexander was trapped in the vehicle. His passenger, Corey Mitchell, 21, also of Houston, was ejected from the car. Both were flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.

The driver or anyone with information about the driver is asked to call township police at 724-745-8030, ext. 215.
