Stolen credit card brings guilty plea

WAYNESBURG – A Carmichaels man charged with using a stolen credit card to purchase goods online pleaded guilty last week.
James Turner-Lewers Bagley, 28, pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen property before Greene County President Judge Farley Toothman.
Charges of access device fraud and criminal use of a communication facility were withdrawn as part of a plea agreement.
Bagley was accused of using a stolen credit card to purchase $267 worth of goods online from Peebles Department Store. The items were sent to his apartment at 103A E. George St.
Bagley maintained another person had purchased the goods using his telephone. He said he kept the items after the other person was jailed on an unrelated charge.
Bagley was sentenced to 129 days to 23½ months in jail and ordered to pay restitution to the store.
He was given credit for time served from July 14 through Oct. 21 and was determined eligible for work release.
