Prowler reported: A resident of Market Street, Belle Vernon, told Southwestern Regional police he could hear people in his yard on the night of Jan. 5. Witnesses reported seeing a man in his 30s with a medium-length beard in the area over the past several weeks. He was seen in yards and at the rear of one home. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Men cited: Thomas Cox, 37, of 417 McKee Ave., Monessen, is charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness over accusations he created a disturbance about 2:45 a.m. Sunday at his residence, city police said. Andrew B. Blackmon, 25, of 502 Center Road, Monroeville, received the same citations stemming from a disturbance about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 8 in Highland Manor, police said.

Escapes injury: Paul Nowak, 53, of Heidelberg, escaped injury Tuesday afternoon when his car went off Washington Road (Route 19) near Meadowbrook Drive and hit a tree, North Strabane police said. The tree landed on the vehicle. Nowak will be cited with failure to drive at a safe speed.

Pallets stolen: An unknown number of wooden pallets were stolen from Kmart on Washington Road Monday, Peters Township police said. Two men in their 20s were told they could not take the pallets. A few minutes later, a store employee saw the men loading the pallets into a lime-green cargo van. The two men then drove away.

Window damaged: Jeramie Kozlowski of Ramage Avenue told Southwest Regional police Jan. 2 a side window was damaged on his vehicle.

Burglary reported: Southwest Regional police said a 47-inch television and XBox 360 with a controller were stolen Jan. 5 in a burglary of a residence on Courtney Hill Road. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Warrant arrest: Jeremy Wojcuich, 29, of 500 W. Wylie Ave., Canton Township, was placed in Washington County jail on probation and bench warrants Tuesday after Washington police were called to GetGo, East Wylie Avenue, for a report of a man stealing candy. Police said he also had suspected marijuana and paraphernalia and will be charged with drug violations.
