Canonsburg man charged again

A Canonsburg man was charged for a second time by North Strabane Township police after he was found loitering outside a motel late at night.
Anthony M. Dorchak, 36, of 302 Oak Alley, was found in a vehicle outside Super 8, 8 Curry Ave., in the early morning hours of Dec. 16. Township police had been called for another incident at the motel when they spotted Dorchak, who claimed he was sending a text to his girlfriend to see if she wanted anything from a fast-food restaurant. Dorchak later reportedly told police he knew he should not have been at the motel and did not know why he stopped.
Police first charged Dorchak with trespass and loitering after they received a complaint in the early morning hours of July 4 about a man who kept walking past a woman’s first-floor room at Hampton Inn, 465 Johnson Road.
He then reportedly called her room and asked if she was single.
Dorchak had a preliminary hearing on the July charges last week before District Judge Jay Weller. He was ordered held for court on those charges and placed in a diversion program. Weller previously ordered him to refrain from trespassing at any of the hotelsin North Strabane.
Dorchak will be formally arraigned on the charges stemming from July’s incident on March 24.
