Man pleads guilty to possession
WAYNESBURG – A Nineveh man found in possession of syringes and other drug paraphernalia while on probation for a previous drug offense pleaded guilty Tuesday before Greene County President Judge Farley Toothman.
Michael Brandon Vulcano, 25, of 113 Deerlick Station Road, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to time served, 207 days in jail, to 5 years.
He was determined eligible for parole.
Police and a probation officer went to Vulcano’s home June 18 and found nine syringes, spoons, empty glassine envelopes and other items.
Two young children also were in the home. A charge of endangering the welfare of a child was withdrawn as part of the plea agreement.
Prosecutors also withdrew a separate possession of drug paraphernalia charge, stemming from an incident May 15 when he was found in possession of a needle and two glassine envelopes.
