Waynesburg man pleads to drug offense

WAYNESBURG – A Waynesburg man who sold cocaine three years ago to a confidential informant working with state police pleaded guilty last week before Greene County President Judge Farley Toothman.

Daniel Wayne Conard, 38, of 272 S. Washington St., pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Conard was sentenced to 90 days to 23 ½ months in jail, fined $200 and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service. He was determined to be eligible to serve a weekend sentence.

Conard sold $200 worth of cocaine to a confidential informant on Nov. 21, 2012, at Mapletown and Pump Station roads in Greene Township. Charges were only filed by police in April.
