Warrant arrest: Cody Coyle, 21, of 519 Duquesne Ave., Canonsburg, was taken into custody Tuesday by Canonsburg police on a bench warrant following a traffic stop on South Central Avenue. He was placed in Washington County jail on the warrant.

Driver injured: Mark S. Phillips, 55, of Washington, was injured when his vehicle went off Prigg Road, Canton, and struck several trees about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, state police said. He was flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.

Drug arrest: Martin A. Jeney, 27, of 251 Salem Church Road, Rostraver Township, is charged by city police with drug possession, resisting arrest, retail theft and tampering with evidence, court records show. Police accuse him of taking a lid off a bottle of vinegar and then locking himself in a restroom about 3:20 p.m. Jan. 13 at a Dollar General at 465 Donner Ave. Police said they forced their way into the restroom and witnessed Jeney flush a syringe down the toilet. Police also said Jeney illegally possessed one Suboxin tablet. He is free on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Drug arrests: Mary E. Sisley, 41, and David C. Decker, 24, both of 237 Main St., Fayette City, are charged with possessing 10 stamp bags of heroin following a traffic stop about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 14 in the 300 block of Donner Ave. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso released them on recognizance bonds.

Woman assaulted: Jarrod Madison, 35, of 616 Division St., Monessen, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness, court records show. Police accuse him of arguing with his wife, Kaley, and then pushing her head into a wall about 3:30 a.m. Jan. 15 at their residence. Madison is free on $5,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Woman assaulted: Mark Balentine, 37, of 606 Park Manor Road, Monessen, is charged by city police with simple assault and harassment, accused of striking Heather Pinson behind her ear with a stick about 7:45 p.m. Jan. 13 near his residence, court records show. Balentine is free on $2,500 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Assault, theft arrest: Karen L. Swoger, 39, of 360 Duncan Ave., Washington, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by North Franklin police after she allegedly stolen items valued at $250 from Macy’s, Washington Crown Center, and then reportedly got into a scuffle with a store loss-prevention officer. She was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of simple assault and retail theft. She was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond. She also is in jail on a bench warrant.

Identity theft: Doug Lawson of South Strabane told township police Wednesday a bank account was opened in his name. He learned of it when he was contacted by a collection agency after a $1,090 debt apparently was run up in his name through TD Bank.

Weapons violation alleged: Glenn Davis Jr., 26, of 298 Roosevelt St., North Franklin Township, was charged Friday by Washington police with person not to possess a firearm and disorderly conduct stemming from a Jan. 6 incident at 417 Locust Ave. Police responded to check the home after the resident came to the station to report an argument in which Davis allegedly threatened to damage her property. Police said they found Davis hiding in a closet, and a gun was found under a mattress. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Televisions stolen: Lisa Ritchea of 690 Addison St. told Washington police Tuesday two televisions were stolen when her apartment was burglarized.

Items stolen: Mike Nixon of 1054 Bruce St. told Washington police Tuesday tools, a drill and medication were stolen from his vehicle.
