Vehicle recovered: A 2015 Ford Explorer reported stolen last year by Lou Bell of Peters Township from the parking lot of Guntown Beer, 585 W. Pike St., was recovered Monday by Monroeville police.

DUI charge: Juan Ruvaleaba, 33, of 503 Ketchum Drive, Canonsburg, was charged by Canonsburg police with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of a crash after he allegedly struck another vehicle in the 200 block of North Central Avenue on Jan. 15 and left without stopping. He was found a short time later at his home. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Assault charge: Clyde M. Stewart, 47, of 59 Griffith Ave., Canton, was charged this week by state police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting Colin Gray, 19, also of 59 Griffith, during a Jan. 18 confrontation at their home. Gray was arrested and arraigned on the same charges, as well as disorderly conduct, at the time of the incident. The charges against Stewart will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Theft arrest: Kyle R. Brown, 22, of 619 Best Ave., Canton, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge David Mark on charges of forgery and theft by deception filed by state police. Brown is accused of passing a counterfeit $20 bill at Circle K, 860 Henderson Ave., Canton, on Dec. 16. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond set by Mark.

Assault arrest: Stephen J. Murphy II, 23, of 1715 Morris St., Washington, was arraigned Thursday on charges of harassment, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct filed by Chartiers police stemming from an incident Friday at 405 Moon Road. He is accused of shoving Kimberly Marchetti and threatening Jennifer Dunfee. He then allegedly went out onto the street and got into a fight with Joseph and Harriet Southall, knocking them to the ground. Joseph Southall was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of a broken jaw. Police said Murphy was arrested Friday night after he entered a home in the 400 block of Castle Road. He was placed in Washington County jail and arraigned via video before District Judge David Mark, who set a bond of $25,000 on the charges from the Moon Road incident.

Guns stolen: Christopher Scott Thomas, 27, of 44 Sycamore St., Ellsworth, is charged by state police with theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud, court records show. Police accuse him of stealing six firearms valued at $2,047 from his grandfather and using his grandmother’s credit card to purchase food and cigarettes between July and December. Police said he confessed to the crimes Wednesday. He is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Stabbing: Labria Henderson, 22, of 120 Schoonmaker Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with burglary, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, court records show. She is accused of forcibly entering her residence with a knife and stabbing Edwinda Frezzell at least once in her left arm about 3 p.m. Jan. 20. Henderson is free on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Girl assaulted: Joseph K. Marion, 45, who has addresses in Monessen and Butler, is charged by city police in a summons with simple assault and harassment. He is accused of choking and striking a 12-year-old girl about 5:40 p.m. Jan. 20 at 332 Indiana Ave., court records show.

Burglary arrest: Eric J. Diggs, 23, of 616 Division St., Monessen, was arrested during a Jan. 21 traffic stop on a warrant charging him in a Dec. 20 burglary in the city, court records show. He is free on $5,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Drug arrest: Nicole L. Porter, 29, of 631 Park Ave., Monongahela, is charged by the Washington County drug task force with possession of 15 stamp bags of heroin with intent to deliver, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. She is accused of selling the drugs to a confidential informant about 6:50 p.m. Jan. 19 at her residence. Porter is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

DUI alleged in crash: Steven A. Wallace, 30, of 119 Greenside Ave., Canonsburg, was charged this week by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol in connection with a Jan. 9 crash on Interstate 79 southbound, south of the Meadow Lands exit in South Strabane. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft charge: Bradley R. Smith, 32, of 233 Cedar Ridge Road, Waynesburg, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with theft by deception after he allegedly took items valued at $105 from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, on Dec. 29 and tried to return them for cash. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Woman charged: Cami A. Mapel, 50, of 42 Mancha St., Eighty Four, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol, not having her vehicle inspected and failure to change her address after she reportedly was found slumped behind the wheel of her vehicle in a lot off Old Mill Boulevard in August. Police said she was covered with food when police found her, and that her blood-alcohol content was almost 3 ½ times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Charged in crash: Michael Caldwell 28, of 2806 Main St., Beallsville, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash and failure to notify police of an accident after he allegedly crashed into a light pole at Trinity Point on Dec. 18. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft charge: Brent N. Anderson Jr., 24, of 242 Kings Road, Washington, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with retail theft after he allegedly stole items valued at $200 from Walmart, Trinity Point, on Jan. 13. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft, possession charges: Susan M. McMasters, 28, of 40 BelAir Drive, Canton Township, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with retail theft and possession of paraphernalia. Police were called to Gabriel’s, Northgate Plaza, last week after she allegedly stole items from the store. She also had paraphernalia, police said. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Probation violation arrest: Joseph Russo, 33, of 720 Michigan Ave., Washington, was taken into custody Wednesday on a probation violation after he was spotted in a parking lot at 501 Jefferson Ave. by his Washington County probation officer, Washington police said. A compliance check was done, and police said he was found with suspected Suboxone. He was placed in Washington County jail on the violation. Drug charges are pending.

Computer stolen: Anthony Christmas of 59 W. Katherine Ave. told Washington police Wednesday a case containing his laptop computer and seven-inch tablet was stolen from his home. He discovered the theft Monday.
