A Clarksville man was sentenced Monday to five years of county intermediate punishment for three different 2015 cases.

Scott A. Rolf, 45, of 77 C St. Teagarden Homes, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property after police found two stolen 2.5-gallon pickle jars full of change that totaled about $2,500 in Rolf’s possession around June 11, 2015.

According to the criminal complaint, Rolf was going to hide the money in a hedge row near his house.

The second case Rolf was sentenced for was for theft and receiving stolen property. After the charges were filed in April of 2015, Rolf plead guilty to stealing a metal pipe from a municipal shed, at 112 Municipal Lane, Washington Township, in July of 2013, according to the criminal complaint

The third case filed July 14, 2015, against Rolf, was for disorderly conduct which he later plead guilty to. The charge came after Rolf was arrested on a felony warrant and was taken to District Judge Glenn Bates’ office in Franklin Township.

According to the criminal complaint Rolf became belligerent by cursing, yelling and threating troopers for 15 minutes while inside the court room.

Greene County Judge Lou Dayich said in his order that Rolf’s addiction problems may have played a role in his criminal activity.

“The court will recognize that the defendant has issues related to addiction and that the defendant is now in a half-way house in Beaver County, Pennsylvania,” he said in the order.

Dayich said the first 90 days of the CIP will be a period of incarceration with credit for 27 days served. Dayich ordered that Rolf be given credit for the other 63 days of incarceration if he completes the six month treatment program at the half-way house, Moffett House.

Rolf will then have another 4 years and 9 months of supervision and will have to pay $1,600 in restitution to David Arnold, of Clarksville, for the change jar. He will also have to complete 165 hours of community service and perform a drug and alcohol evaluation and abide by all treatment recommendations that follow.
