Monongahela man killed in single-vehicle accident
A Monongahela man was killed when the vehicle he was driving hit an embankment early Saturday on state Route 837 near Monongahela.
Randall M. Morgan, 40, was traveling westbound between Walnut Street and Columbia Road in a Chevy Cruze at about 2:10 a.m. when he lost control and crossed into the eastbound lane, striking the embankment, according to the coroner’s report. He was not wearing a seat belt, the report said.
A passenger was flown to an area hospital.
The accident is begin investigated by Carroll Township police.
Assisting at the scene were Tri-Community Ambulance, Rostraver-West Newton EMS, Allegheny General Paramedic Unit, Carroll Township Fire Department and Monongahela police.
