Chairs stolen: Jackie Mazzotta of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Sunday chairs she put out on East Pike Street for the Fourth of July parade were stolen.

Man jailed: Tyler J. Hall, 21, of 410 Fifth St., Charleroi, is charged by California police with receiving stolen property, giving police false identification and corruption of minors, court records show. Police accuse Hall of picking up his juvenile friends with a stolen vehicle and then encouraging one of them to take the driver’s seat. Police stopped the vehicle about 2:20 a.m. Saturday at Highpoint Drive and Dally Road after it was reported stolen from Brownsville. Hall is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Burglary arrest: Maurice R. Garrison III, 34, of 445 Fayette St., Washington, was arrested Saturday by state police on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft, forgery, criminal mischief and traffic violations. Garrison is accused of breaking into Insana’s Garage, 139 Ohio St., Canton, through a back window. Once inside, he allegedly stole a checkbook owned by an employee. He allegedly cashed a check for $480 and tried to cash a second one for $800 but was refused because the signature did not match. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.

Woman charged: Melissa Lynn Bebout, 37, of 186 Jollick Manor, Washington, was arrested Saturday by state police on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting and threatening three women at the Suburban Extended Stay hotel, 975 Sheffield St., Canton. She was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.

Window broken: Donna Campbell of 123 Sunset Drive, Canton, told state police Saturday the rear window of her vehicle was broken. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.

Warrant arrest: Alyse J. Quigley, 28, of East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, was taken into custody during a traffic stop Friday by McDonald police on a bench warrant from Allegheny County for failure to appear. She was placed in Washington County jail.

Drug arrest: Ridge C. Daube, 25, of 330 Castner Ave., Donora, was arrested Sunday by Monongahela police on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of paraphernalia, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness stemming from an incident on Loop Street. Police said they spotted him shoving items under the seat of a vehicle, then found 120 stamp bags of suspected heroin hidden in his crotch. He was arraigned on the charges before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.

Burglary arrest: Brian B. Yantko, 37, of Uniontown, is charged by Monongahela police with burglary, attempted theft, trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse Yantko of breaking into a garage at an abandoned house at 500 Fourth St. about 3:45 p.m. Monday. Yantko is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Driver faces charges: Melanie Lynn Broker, 44, of 518 Weaver Ave., Canonsburg, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after a two-vehicle crash on the ramp from Interstate 79 at McClelland Road Friday, North Strabane police said. Neither driver was injured.

Retail theft: Police are investigating a theft Sunday at the state liquor store at Donaldsons Crossroads. Police said a store employee stopped a man and asked him to return a bottle of liquor he attempted to take without paying. The man left the store and got into a vehicle.

Retail theft: Police arrested Mark Setar, 52, of 1040 Woodbridge Road, Canonsburg, Sunday at Giant Eagle, Donaldsons Crossroads. Police said Setar is accused of going through the self-checkout lane without paying for paper towels and toilet paper at the bottom of his cart. Setar, who claimed it was an oversight, was charged with felony retail theft. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and released on his own recognizance.

Burglary suspect caught: Bobby A. Gould, 40, of Corry, is charged by state police with burglary, trespassing, resisting arrest, risking a catastrophe, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, court records show. Gould is accused of breaking into a residence in the 700 block of Carlton Drive about 1 p.m. Friday and filling it with natural gas by turning on a kitchen stove. Police said Gould initially refused a trooper’s commands to raise his hands to allow him to be handcuffed. He is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Boat burns: South Strabane police and firefighters were called Monday to the home of Joshua Polk, 521 Lakeside Drive, when his boat caught fire.

Package stolen: Tricia Martos of 1053 Beech St. told South Strabane police Thursday a package that was delivered by United Parcel Service was stolen.

Charged with threats: Rondell Johnson, 36, of 1054 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was arrested early Sunday by Washington police on charges of terroristic threats, criminal mischief and reckless endangerment after he allegedly threatened Eva Gilbert with a knife at 670 Jefferson Ave. and broke the kitchen window. He also was charged with disorderly conduct for another incident that morning at the same home. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Assault, endangerment charges: Michael S. Montgomery, 33, of 266 Locust Ave., Washington, was arrested Saturday by Washington police after officers were called to his home by Washington County Children and Youth Services to assist after the agency received a Child Line call. He allegedly pushed Andrea Lysinger as she held their 1-year-old son, causing her to break her foot, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of simple assault, endangering the welfare of children and possession of marijuana. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

PFA violation alleged: Jodi Lynn Smith, 36, of 470 Chartiers Run Road, Chartiers Township, was arrested Thursday by Washington police for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order obtained by Clifford Smith by going to his home in Jollick Manor. She was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and released on her own recognizance.

Tire damaged: Clarence Terry of 924 Chartiers Ave. told Washington police Sunday a tire on his vehicle was damaged.

Harassment charge: David P. Lucy Jr., 46, of 113 Gibson Ave., was charged Monday with harassment by Washington police after he allegedly shoved Jason Ames, 34, also of 113 Gibson, into a wall at their home.

Apartment burglarized: Jessica Yerger of 1190 Maple Terrace told Washington police Monday her apartment was ransacked during a burglary. Food was stolen from her refrigerator. Credit cards also were stolen.

Mower stolen: Carolyn Pollock of 181 Maple Ave. told Washington police Saturday a lawn mower was stolen from her garage.

Stolen television sold: Thomas Cherry of 146 Jollick Manor told police a television he reported stolen last week was sold at a Washington pawn shop.

Card stolen: Melissa Bebout of 186 Jollick Manor told Washington police Saturday her debit card was stolen and used to make $1,100 in transactions.

Copper stolen: Alice Royal of Washington told Washington police Saturday copper pipes were stolen her a house she owns at 694 N. Main St.

Prostitution charge: Carrie Slider, 24, of New Eagle, was charged by Washington police with prostitution after she allegedly offered to perform a sex act in exchange for cash Saturday at a residence on West Hallam Avenue. Police said she had advertised on a website. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
