Woman jailed: Jamie K. Ramer, 53, of 179 Sunset Drive, Canton Township, was charged by state police with simple assault over accusations she spit on her husband, Kenneth Ramer, and also scratched his neck and caused a laceration to his right elbow late Thursday at their residence, court records show. Police also cited her husband for harassment after she accused him of spitting on her. Jamie K. Ramer is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Friday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Vehicle damaged: Leeann Javens of McDonald told McDonald police Tuesday her vehicle was damaged while it was parked at 390 E. O’Hara St.

Medication stolen: Brandon Raineri of Canonsburg told McDonald police Tuesday his prescription medication was stolen from a bag he carried to McSummerfest in Heritage Park.

Drug charges filed: John F. Gourn Jr., 42, of 221 Railroad St., Webster, is charged by city police with three counts of drug possession stemming from a traffic stop about 7:20 p.m. July 1 in the 200 block of Tyrol Boulevard, court records show. Police said an officer pulled the vehicle over after witnessing it nearly strike a woman in the area of Indiana Avenue and Manown Street and three bags of cocaine were found inside the car. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued Gourn the charges in a summons Thursday.

Man jailed: Travis Maloy, 24, of 5052 Don St., Union Township, is charged by city police with drug possession with intent to deliver over accusations a patrolman found 16.5 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag tucked behind the gasoline tank door on his vehicle after it was stopped about 4:40 p.m. July 4 at East Main and Walnut streets, court records show. Maloy, who was jailed that day on a state parole violation, will receive the charge in a summons mailed Thursday from the office of District Judge Mark Wilson.

Two injured: Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash on Route 519 near Wilson Road, North Strabane police said. A vehicle driven by Elizabeth Magnotta, 52, of Highcroft Circle, Eighty Four, struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Michelle Westbrook, 33, of Pittsburgh Road, Bentleyville, and pushed it into the back of a vehicle driven by Derek Parasolick, 28, of Wisebecker Lane, Monongahela. Magnotta and Westbrook were taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Magnotta will be cited with careless driving.

Wallet stolen: Fabian Chun of Nemacolin told South Strabane police his wallet was stolen after he dropped it in the vestibule at the front entrance of Walmart, Trinity Point, early Friday. An employee told police a white man in his 30s wearing a black shirt, picked it up, got in a gray Jeep and drove away toward Route 19. Chun told police the wallet contained credit cards and $178. Store surveillance will be checked.
