Assault charge: Michael Shane Cook, 41, of 102 Noblestown Road, Midway, was charged by McDonald police with simple assault, harassment and possession of paraphernalia and marijuana stemming from a confrontation Sunday in Burgettstown and Midway. He is accused of slapping Tracy Darnley across the face. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

Man bilked: Jose Pedro Basoalto-Salvestrini of 420 East St. told Canonsburg police Monday he sent $3,900 through eBay to purchase a 2003 Mercedes Benz E-class through an online salvage yard but never received the vehicle and was no longer able to contact the seller by telephone.

Two cited: Keith Davis, 24, of 400 Washington Ave., Charleroi, and Moses Harris, 27, of 219 McKean Ave., Charleroi, were each charged with public drunkenness stemming from an incident Sunday morning at Third Street and McKean, Charleroi Regional police said. Harris was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered when he fell.

Drunkenness, disorderly charges: Paul McGavitt, 27, of 430 Liberty Ave., Donora, will be charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness stemming from an incident Sunday at Shady Avenue and Garr Street. Charleroi Regional police said he was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in an earlier fight.

House burglarized: Nathan Kerr of 426 Ross St. told Chartiers police Monday a 50-inch television valued at $3,500 was stolen in a burglary of his home. The burglar broke glass in a door leading from the garage to the kitchen to enter.

Man assaulted: John Zaccone Jr. of Garner Street, Millsboro, told Chartiers police Monday he was assaulted by another man at Progressive Medical, 2453 W. Pike St. Charges are pending against his alleged assailant.

Bicycle stolen: Richard Schmelz III of 85 First St., Meadow Lands, told Chartiers police Friday his bicycle was stolen from a parking lot behind Parker Apartments.

Trimmers stolen: Robert Chuey of 313 Thorne St. told Chartiers police Thursday his hedge trimmers were stolen from his property.

Man wanted: Jeffrey Lenzi, 43, of 332 Isabella Ave., Monongahela, is charged by borough police with theft and deceptive business practices for allegedly accepting $200 from Phillip Podrosky Dec. 8, 2014, for taxidermy work and failing to deliver the deer mount to him within a year, court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson signed a warrant for Lenzi’s arrest Monday.

Drug arrests: Lindsey Starr Thompson, 28, and Tyler A. Kershaw, 26, both of 656 McKee Ave., Monessen, are charged by city police with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession, conspiracy, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of children, court records show. Police accuse the couple of storing 34 grams of marijuana and a scale inside of a child’s book bag when officers searched their residence about 8:45 p.m. Saturday. Police allege other marijuana was discovered in two gallon-size plastic bags and a glass jar in an attic crawl space. Thompson and Kershaw are free on $10,000 bonds set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Theft case: John L. Crea II, 27, of 9 Mannina Ave., Dunlevy, is charged by city police with theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy for his alleged role in the theft about noon June 29 of a wallet containing more than $1,200 from Rick Frantz at his business, Ric’s Kustom Polishing, 1600 Grand Boulevard, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Monday in a summons.

Drug charges filed: Jeffrey Blair, 29, of 112 Ruth Place, Rostraver Township, is charged by city police with possessing 15 stamp bags of heroin and drug paraphernalia after a patrolman claimed to have witnessed him attempting to shoot heroin inside his vehicle, which was parked about 2:25 p.m. Monday at 111 E. Main St., court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charges Tuesday in a summons.

Charged in summons: Shawn M. Fodor, 24, of 704 Speer St., North Belle Vernon, is charged by state police with possessing nine stamp bags of heroin, unlawful activities and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 1:20 p.m. July 3 at Fayette Avenue and Henry Street. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges Tuesday in a summons.

Sign stolen: A 17-foot LED sign reading “Chiropractor” was reported missing Monday from Legacy Medical, 3540 Washington Road. The sign, which was sitting outside the building, is valued at $6,000, police said.

Vandalism reported: Someone spray-painted a sign at the Sienna Woods subdivision Monday. The incident remains under investigation.

Charged in crash: Theodore John Shaffer, 53, of 750 North Branch Road, McDonald, was charged by McDonald police with driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving after he allegedly crashed into a guardrail Sunday night in the 8600 block of Noblestown Road, Robinson. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than 2 1/2 times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.

Assaults alleged: C. Randall Kenney, 54, and Lynne Kenney, 49, both of 522 Salem Church Road, Rostraver Township, are charged with simple assault and harassment stemming from a fight they allegedly had in their residence about 9:10 p.m. Monday, court records show. C. Randall Kenney also is charged with terroristic threats over accusations he threatened to kill Lynne Kenney with a gun. He is free on $25,000 unsecured bond set Tuesday by District Judge Charles Christner. She is free on $5,000 unsecured bond.

Woman injured: Jamie L. Mazur, 30, of New Eagle, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital after she was injured in a two-car crash about 3 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Brownlee Road and Route 136, Somerset. State police said a car driven by Lauren Butler, 28, of Aliquippa, was going north on Brownlee approaching Route 136 when she allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign, striking the passenger side of Mazur’s eastbound car. Butler’s car spun around, coming to rest in the westbound lane of Route 136. Mazur’s car went off the road into a grassy area, police said. Mazur, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown to Allegheny General Hospital. Butler, who will be charged with failing to stop at a stop sign, was taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital.

Theft reported: A resident of Parkview Drive, Union, told Southwest Regional police Tuesday a DeWalt hand drill, Craftsman electric drill and Craftsman electric impact wrench were stolen from his shed. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Charged in crash: Timothy J. Jones, 56, of 210 Springfield Ave., Washington, faces charges including DUI after he allegedly fled the scene of a crash about 4:15 p.m. Monday on East Maiden Street near Stewart Avenue, Washington police said. A witness followed him, and he was stopped by police near the intersection of Lakeview Drive and East Beau Street in South Strabane Township. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.

Business bilked: An employee of Buy & Sell Outlet, 172 S. Main St., told Washington police Monday he gave $350 to a man for a Target gift card reportedly valued at $700 earlier this month, after verifying the amount. A few days later, the amount could not be determined. On Monday, he learned the card had been reported stolen to Target, and a replacement card was sent to the suspect. Police are trying to verify the suspect’s information.

Man jailed: Raheem J. Robinson, 25, of 219 Morton Ave., Butler, was placed in Washington County jail Tuesday on charges of providing false identification to law enforcement and possession of a controlled substance. When Robinson was asked for identification from Washington police outside 652 Maple Terrace, he allegedly gave a fake name and birthdate and was in possession of Xanax without a valid prescription. Robinson was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in jail on $10,000 bond. There is a warrant for his arrest on a different charge in Butler County. A preliminary hearing is scheduled July 27 before Redlinger.
