MCCANDLESS (AP) – A mother and son fishing at a Pennsylvania lake have a tale about the one that got away.

Wildlife officials say pictures show the pair caught a red-bellied piranha at North Park Lake in McCandless. But the fish flopped back into the water after they removed the hook.

The Allegheny County Parks Department says there is no evidence of more piranhas in the lake. The department says an angler might be bitten while removing a hook from the fish’s jaw.

It is illegal to introduce exotic fish into Pennsylvania’s waters.
