One injured: Barbara L. Hill, 50, of Pittsburgh, was injured when the vehicle in which she was a passenger was hit from behind on Interstate 79 southbound just south of the Southpointe exit, Cecil. State police said a vehicle driven by Patrick G. Hill, 54, also of Pittsburgh, slowed because of heavy rain and traffic Saturday when it was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Steven Weekley, 33, of Washington. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Weekley was cited with failure to drive at a safe speed.

Trees destroyed: David Warholak told state police 400 trees he has on property on Templeton Road, West Finley, were destroyed between June 27 and Friday. He estimated the damage at $6,000. Police do have a suspect. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
