A Claysville woman already facing trial on charges of theft, burglary, forgery and criminal trespass, and facing preliminary hearings before three district judges in separate cases, had more charges filed against her Friday by Donegal Township police at the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Sarra Donna Ealy, 24, of 30 Poverty Point Road, was charged in two new cases. She is accused of access device fraud for allegedly using a Claysville woman’s debit card without authorization in May. Ealy also is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property and one count of forgery stemming from incidents last month.

Police said the Claysville woman had given Ealy her debit card, along with the personal identification number, in May so the 24-year-old could run errands for her because she just gotten out of the hospital. She later discovered t her card was used to make unauthorized purchases and withdrawals. A cashier at a Claysville store was able to identify Ealy as the one who used the card, police said.

Ealy also is accused of forging the signature on a check stolen from an elderly Donegal woman. She reportedly made the check out to herself, forged the woman’s signature and cashed it for $300. She also is accused of pawning a 1937 Claysville High School ring at a North Franklin Township jewelry store for $36 last month.

Ealy is scheduled for Aug. 16 preliminary hearings before Ward on those cases, as well as charges of theft by deception filed last month against her for allegedly getting another woman to cash checks for her at her bank. The other woman told police she was not aware the checks were stolen.

Ealy also faces charges of theft by deception, forgery and receiving stolen property filed by state police in connection with a June 1 incident in Canton Township. She is slated for a June 17 hearing before District Judge David Mark. She also is scheduled for a hearing earlier in the day Aug. 16 before District Judge Curtis Thompson in Bentleyville on charges of access device fraud, identity theft and theft filed by Bentleyville police for a May 19 incident.

Ealy waived the burglary and theft charges before Ward last month. She is accused of breaking into the same elderly woman’s home, and stealing money and checks she later cashed at a Claysville bank. She will be formally arraigned on those charges Aug. 23.
