Police beat July 27
Dealership cited: State police issued 152 citations to Ron Lewis Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for failing to keep accurate paperwork regarding vehicle records, titles and sales. State police audited the dealership last month after a customer complained the registration expired on a used vehicle he purchased in December. The paperwork, fees and taxes had been submitted to the state, but 124 days late, police said.
Crash: No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash at 11:36 a.m. Friday on Route 21, west of Barton Hollow Road. State police said a truck operated by Paul A. Carpenter, 59, of Newcomerstown, Ohio, struck the guardrail on a narrow bridge. After exiting the bridge, the truck ran into a ditch.
Crash: No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash on Bald Hill Road at 1:26 p.m. July 18. State police said Virgil R. Baker Jr., 28, of Waynesburg, was driving east and collided with a vehicle traveling west operated by Rachel Gunnoe, 20, of Maidsville, W.Va. Baker was cited for careless driving, police said.
