Man pinned under truck flown to hospital
A man working on a truck in an alley behind 1 Caldwell Ave. in Canton Township was flown to UPMC-Presbyterian in Pittsburgh Wednesday evening after his arm became pinned between the truck and a garage.
Fire crews from Canton and the city of Washington used cinder blocks and wood cribbing to prop the truck up, which had fallen onto the man when the jack he used to prop up the passenger side broke free and pinned him against a garage wall, according to Canton Township fire Chief Dave Gump.
It took crews about 10 minutes to free the man, whose arm was purple before he was loaded onto a stretcher. The nature of his injury was not available.
