Trinity High School will graduate 257 seniors at 6:15 p.m. today at the high school campus.

Natalie Cappelli, Delaney Elling and Eva Gnegy are valedictorians; Samuel Trapuzzano is salutatorian and Steven Caldwell is the honor graduate.

Cappelli is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Cappelli of Washington.

She received several scholarships, including the Penn State Schreyer Honors College Academic Excellence Scholarship, the Challenge program for Academic Excellence award and state and regional STEM awards.

Cappelli was a member of Trinity Leadership Committee, National Honor Society, Youth Traffic Safety, the Governor’s STEM Team and a four-year student council representative. She was captain of the soccer and basketball teams and a member of the cross country team.

She will be attending Penn State University in the Schreyer Honors College to study biology and pursue a career in the medical field.

Elling is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Elling of Washington

She received the DAR Good Citizen Award, Tri-Cada Scholar Athlete Award, Challenge Program for Academic Excellence Award, Penn State Schreyer Honors College Academic Excellence Scholarship and a Penn State athletic scholarship for softball.

She was senior class president, treasurer of National Honor Society and a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions, Student Advisory Board and Academic League. She was captain of the softball team, where she was twice named to the all-state team, and played basketball.

She will be attending Penn State University in the Schreyer Honors College to study biochemical engineering and play softball.

Gnegy is the daughter of Kevin and Lisa Gnegy of Washington.

She received the Social Studies and Mathematics Department Award, state and regional STEM awards and state National History Day award. She received the Amelia Earhart Honoree Zonta Club Scholarship, Meadowlands Sportsmans Club Scholarship, Washington Lions Club William and Joann Moore Scholarship and Washington Rotary Doug Masciola Scholarship.

She was a Student Council representative, a member of National Honor Society, Math League, Academic League, Model UN, Model EU, STEM, mock trial and peer jury. She also participated in tennis.

She will attend the University of Michigan to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering.

Trapuzzano is the son of Ben and Shawn Trapuzzano of Washington.

He received the Italian-American Heritage Scholarship, Outstanding Senior Debate Award and U.S. Army Reserve Scholar/Athlete Award.

Trapuzzano was president of National Honor Society, chairperson of the Leadership Committee, co-captain of the speech and debate team and served as the student representative to the school board. He was member of SADD, STEM, Youth Traffic Safety, the Trinity Morning Show, Young Democrats/Young Republicans and the school newspaper staff. He was a member of the football team, where he was named to the all-state team.

He will attend the Bucknell University School of Management to play football and pursue a degree in financial management.

Caldwell is the son of Jennifer Deems and Alan Caldwell of Washington.

He received the AP Scholar Award and the Certificate of Merit.

Caldwell was a member of the marching and concert band, Math League and National Honor Society.

He will attend Boston University to pursue a degree in biochemistry.
