Hearing postponed in Rostraver stalking case
A hearing was postponed Monday for a North Belle Vernon man accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend and using his pickup truck to ram another man’s vehicle last month in a county park in Rostraver Township.
District Judge Charles Christner continued the hearing for Scott J. Gantner, 30, of 335 Speer St. to July 11, court records show.
Westmoreland County Police Department arrested Gantner May 28 after receiving a complaint from Amanda Fine about 8 p.m. about her being chased by her ex-boyfriend at a baseball field in Cedar Creek Park, the record indicates.
The officer was later met there by Branden Stasko, who accused Gantner of repeatedly following and harassing him.
Fine and Stasko said they agreed to meet at the park to discuss Gantner when they noticed his vehicle traveling at a high speed on Timms Lane toward the ballfield, police stated in the affidavit.
Stasko accused Gantner of driving his truck into the rear bumper of Stasko’s vehicle.
Gantner was charged with aggravated assault and stalking. He is free on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Roger F. Eckels.
