Police beat June 7

Charged in fight: Bobbi Jo Simpson, 24, of Grindstone, Felicia Marie Baker, 25, and Brandon M. Tomlin, 25, both of Uniontown, and Alexis Collins Zetty, 21, of Brownsville, were charged by state police with harassment stemming from a fight with another person May 31 at Sheridan Avenue in Brownsville.
Son charged: Ryan Fluharty, 19, of 240 Lincoln Ave., Canonsburg, was arrested Sunday by Canonsburg police after he allegedly punched his mother during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Prowling charges: John Lowery, 33, and Kelsey Puett, 23, both of 109 Old Meadow Drive, North Strabane Township, will be charged by Canonsburg police with loitering and prowling at night after they allegedly were found wandering around a home in the 500 block of Euclid Avenue early Monday. They reportedly told police they were waiting for Lowery’s mother to return home from vacation. The two waived their right to immediate arraignment and were released.
Disorderly, drunkenness charges: Natalie Kloska, 27, of Washington, was charged by state police with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness Saturday after she allegedly was on the second floor of a building at Belvedere Acres, 40 Bel Air Drive, Canton, knocking on multiple doors and yelling. Police said she does not reside at the complex.
Man arraigned: Samuel R. Ross, 36, of 330 South Ridge Road, Coal Center, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with receiving a license plate stolen from Donora and possession of heroin paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 6:20 p.m. May 9 at Sixth Street and Fallowfield Avenue, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins set bond Monday at $25,000. Ross has been in Washington County jail since May 12 on a parole detainer.
Burglary, theft charges: Antonio Steadman, 42, of 605 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was charged Monday by Charleroi Regional police with burglary, theft and criminal trespass for allegedly entering an apartment at 534 Fallowfield Ave. Friday by climbing onto the roof and then going through a screen door. Police say he fled when the resident said she was calling police. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Paraphernalia charges: James Smalley, 44, and Dorothy Summers, 39, both of 414 Washington Ave., Charleroi, were charged Thursday night by Charleroi Regional police. Officers were called to their station for a report of a woman who had been assaulted. When they arrived, they said they found Summers passed out. They then went to her home to speak with her boyfriend, Smalley. When he tried to leave, police said he dropped a suspected crack pipe. Police said they also saw suspected paraphernalia in the home. Smalley was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. Summers was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
Pole, transformer hit: Thomas C. Rosche, 39, of 350 Valley St., McDonald, faces several charges including leaving the scene of a crash and driving an overweight truck after police say his tractor-trailer hit power lines Saturday, bringing down wires and a transformer on East O’Hara Street. A witness followed him and relayed information to McDonald police. Rosche was stopped in Mt. Pleasant Township. Rosche reportedly told police he thought he only clipped the lines.
Man bitten: Michael Edward Mixter Jr., 52, of McDonald, told McDonald police Friday he was bitten by a pit bull reportedly owned by Brandon W. Deveaney, 25, when he went to 139 S. McDonald St. to collect rent from Deveaney. Mixter went to Washington Hospital for treatment. Police notified animal control.
Drug charge: Levi Cody Seman, 25, of 104 Main St., Roscoe, is charged with possession of one stamp bag of heroin stemming from his being taken into custody by city police about 11:30 p.m. May 29 at Reservoir Avenue and 12th Street on a Fayette County warrant involving a theft case in Washington Township, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charge in a summons Thursday.
Drug charge: Michael W. Elko, 49, of 723 Washington Ave., Charleroi, was charged by city police with possessing two stamp bags of heroin while he was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic stop about 1:05 p.m. May 29 at Schoonmaker Avenue and Riverview Drive. Police charged the driver, Amber Kress, 31, of Charleroi, with possession of heroin paraphernalia. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Monday
Assault alleged: Unique Howell, 23, of 109 Linden Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct over allegations she threw bleach on Hannah Jackson and Samuel Dickerson about 10 p.m. May 28 at Motheral Avenue and Sixth Street, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso sent Howell the charges in a summons Thursday.
Theft, fleeing arrest: Andrew T. Fischer, 28, of 808 Monroe St., New Eagle, was arrested Sunday by Monongahela police on charges of theft, fleeing or attempting to elude police, obstruction of administration of law and criminal mischief after officers got a report he was trying to steal copper from the back of a construction vehicle parked at 123 Union St., New Eagle. Police got a description of his vehicle and spotted it. Police said Fischer attempted to flee, passing several vehicles before stopping. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
Theft arrest: Tyler Winstone, 22, of 702 Lookout Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Friday by Charleroi Regional police on a charge of theft for allegedly stealing $140 from the purse of Mary Jo Rock while it was inside her North Charleroi home. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Two charged: Michael J. Lowe, 27, and Miranda McCoy, 23, both of 1162 Brush Run Road, Washington, were charged Friday by North Franklin police with retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Macy’s, Washington Crown Center, on March 22. He is accused of taking items valued at $249, while she allegedly stole items valued at $199. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Assault arrest: Chad DeJohn, 34, of 20 Donley Road, Eighty Four, was arrested Saturday by North Strabane police for allegedly punching Elizabeth Ott in the face and pulling hair from her head during a confrontation. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $35,000 bond.
Theft arrest: Bryan Joseph Rozanc, 35, of 109 Old Meadow Road, North Strabane, was arrested Friday by North Strabane police on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass. He is accused of taking a package from a home on Martha Drive and then discarding the package in the weeds at the end of the road after discovering it had no value to him. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Warrant arrest: Lauryn E. Mockridge, 29, of 425 East St., Canonsburg, was taken into custody Friday night by North Strabane police on an out-of-county bench warrant during a traffic stop on South Central Avenue. Police said she is wanted in Butler County. She was placed in Washington County jail.
Woman assaulted: Denny Lee Naylor Jr., 24, of 120 Reed Ave., Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he punched and shoved his girlfriend, Chelsey Leckie, about 6:40 p.m. Friday at 319 Ohio St., Pricedale, court records show. Naylor is in Westmoreland County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Helen M. Kistler.
Two charged: Talifero B. Clark, 26, of 5 Kings Way, Rostraver Township, and Heather B. Troisi, 31, of 315 Anton St., Monongahela, are charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over allegations they injured each other in a fight about 8:40 p.m. Thursday at Clark’s residence, court records show. District Judge Charles Christner released them without bond at their Friday arraignments.
Man charged: Jan A. Aultz, 40, of Jacobs Creek, is charged by township police with possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he allegedly was found passed out in his parked vehicle about 7:15 p.m. May 16 at the GetGo at Route 51 and Finley Road, court records show. District Judge Charles Christner sent Aultz the charges in a summons Thursday.
Driver injured: James McLaughlin, 58, of Mt. Pleasant, was injured Wednesday morning when his vehicle struck the rear of a tractor-trailer driven by Kerry Watkins, 64, of Youngwood, in the right lane of Interstate 70 westbound, Rostraver. State police said McLaughlin will be charged with careless driving.
Assault arrest: Jason M. Celani, 40, of 200 Old Scales Road, South Franklin, was arrested Sunday by state police on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted Chalene DeGarmo at the KOA Campgrounds in South Strabane and later at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Theft arrest: Melissa Ann Charley, 41, of Wheeling, W.Va., was arrested by South Strabane police on charges of retail theft and conspiracy after she allegedly stole multiple sets of Legos from Target, Strabane Square, on Friday. Police said she identified a man who was with her, but he was not taken into custody. She was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
Window broken: Sheldon Terrett of 28 Park View Drive told South Strabane police Saturday the back window of his pickup truck was broken. Police found a beer bottle in the bed of his truck.
Assault arrest: Anthony Taylor, 36, of 122 Ridge Ave., was arrested Saturday by Washington police on charges of simple assault, unlawful restraint and reckless endangerment. He is accused of shooting his wife, Randi Taylor, several times with an Airsoft gun. He is also accused of throwing her around the apartment and cutting her hair with scissors while she was on the floor. She told police she tried to leave the apartment, but he would not allow her to go. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $100,000 bond.
Burglary arrest: Stephen Murphy II, 24, of 4820 Paxton Road, Houston, was arrested Saturday by Washington police on charges of burglary and simple assault after he allegedly went to the home of Joseph Reiner, 1455 Allison Ave. When Reiner told him to leave, Murphy allegedly punched him in the face. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
Assault on officer alleged: Kevin W. DeMain, 39, of 1602 Donnan Ave., was arrested Saturday night on charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he allegedly kicked Officer Matthew Karlowsky in the shin. Police had been called to Circle K, West Chestnut Street, for a report of an intoxicated man who refused to leave. Police had taken DeMain home when he allegedly kicked the officer. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $35,000 bond.
PFA violation alleged: Derrick Price Sr., 47, of 88 N. Main St., Washington, was arrested Friday by Washington police for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order he had just received after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting Marlo Price last week. He is accused of contacting her at her home in violation of the order. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
Drug arrest: Joshua Ralston, 33, of 1224 Sunnybrook Drive, Washington, was arraigned Saturday by District Judge Ethan Ward on a charge of possession of a controlled substance filed by state police after he allegedly was found with Suboxone on Feb. 10 while at the barracks on Murtland Avenue awaiting arraignment on unrelated charges. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Marijuana charge: Faith E. Hartzog, 20, of 46 Mill St., Washington, was charged Friday by Washington police with possession of marijuana after she allegedly was found with the suspected drug May 26 at Dewey and Park avenues. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Paraphernalia charge: William R. Montgomery, 25, of 285 Brookside Ave., was charged Friday by Washington police with possession of paraphernalia after police reported finding the items in his house while responding to a call May 30. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Drug charge: Angelina Gates, 28, of 828 Crest Ave., Charleroi, was charged Friday by Washington police with possession of a controlled substance after she allegedly had prescription medication did not belong to her when police responded to a call May 20 in the parking lot of 500 N. Main St. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Assault, harassment charges: Michon Jackson, 34, of 850 Addison St., was charged Monday by Washington police with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, unlawful restraint and public drunkenness. Police were called to her home Saturday after she allegedly held Ashley Turner down and punched her in the arms, chest, neck and face. Jackson left the home but later returned and was taken into custody. Turner and another woman living in the house, Amber Wilson, will be charged by Washington police with harassment after they allegedly got into an altercation. Jackson was placed in Washington County jail on a warrant and will be arraigned on the new charges later before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Money stolen: Christopher Titchnell of 550 Broad St. told Washington police $277 was stolen from his wallet while he was at home Sunday.
ID stolen: Renee Fitch of Washington told Washington police Saturday her personal information was used to purchase a sim card in Georgia.
Cellphone stolen: Brittany Burrows of Washington told Washington police Friday her iPhone and case were stolen while she was at Goodwill, 89 Jefferson Ave.
Woman assaulted: Laurie Blackburn of 1320 Allison Ave. told Washington police Friday a former roommate kicked in her front door and dragged her from a room when she tried to hide. The other woman also allegedly damaged items inside the home. Police advised Blackburn on how to get a protection-from-abuse order. Charges are pending, police said.
Card used: Mathew Olson of 286 N. Franklin St. told Washington police Friday his debit card was used to make a $100 withdrawal at a PNC bank in Washington. He also was charegd a $3.50 service fee. Charges may be filed after the video surveillance at the bank is reviewed.
