Saccone’s poll watcher bill takes next step
In an attempt to protect the integrity of the election process, state Rep. Rick Saccone’s House Bill 29 passed out of the House State Government Committee this week.
H.B. 29 would allow poll watchers recruited by a candidate to work in any county where that person is needed. Poll watchers would not be limited to the county at which they reside.
Saccone, R-Elizabeth, believes the bill will protect Pennsylvania voters and safeguard the electoral process in every election district in the commonwealth. The bill is now in the House Rules Committee.
