2 adults, boy badly hurt in pickup crash in Ohiopyle park

1 min read

OHIOPYLE – Two adults and a child are being treated in a hospital after a pickup truck crashed upside-down in a Southwestern Pennsylvania state park.

Officials at Ohiopyle State Park said the truck crashed about 4:15 p.m. Sunday and wound up in the woods. Park operations manager Ken Bisbee said the vehicle missed a curve and speed may have been a factor.

A 9-year-old boy was able to climb out of the wreckage, but emergency crews worked for about an hour to get a 31-year-old man and 27-year-old woman out of the truck.

All three victims have been flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

Bisbee said the truck went through a guardrail and tumbled down a steep hill before coming to rest on its roof.
