• Date: June 16

• Action: At the request of the Aging Department, the board approved a one-year lease with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh for the Bentleyville Senior Center to operate its Meals-on-Wheels program from the Knights of Columbus hall, 208 Abromaitis St., during a renovation project. The monthly cost will be $600 from Aug. 1 of this year through Aug. 31, 2017.

At the request of the court administrator, the commissioners approved an agreement with attorney J. Andrew Salemme to replace Tim Lyons as conflict counsel at $2,083 per month.

At the request of the Human Resources Department, the commissioners approved a 7 percent, across-the-board reduction of premiums for dental care effective July 1, 2016, through Dec. 31, 2017. Employees who had been paying $18.30 monthly for individual coverage will have $17.02 as a new rate, for example.

• Reappointment: Washington Mayor Scott Putnam, Washington County Transportation Authority Board, through May 31, 2021.

• Public comment: Don Carter, coordinator of the Washington County Farm Bureau’s annual food drive, reported that 15,366 pounds of donations were collected, exceeding the goal by 1,366 pounds. The Vankirk-Friendship 4-H Club, collecting 1,583 pounds of goods, won a competition among 4-Hers, and the Monongahela Area Library was the top collector in its category with 1,079 pounds.

• Announcement: County offices will be closed July 4 for Independence Day.

• Next meeting: 10 a.m. July 21 in the public meeting room of the Courthouse Square office building. The commissioners convene regularly scheduled meetings only once a month in July and August.
