Van carrying rescue dogs overturns in Peters Township
A van carrying an unspecified number of rescue dogs from Tennessee to South Hills Pet Rescue in South Park Township overturned Friday in the 500 block of Bebout Road in Peters Township and landed in a field, township police said.
The accident occurred when the van hit a bad spot in the road, according to police.
Barbara Ryan, 53, of Lewisburg, Tenn., was the driver of the rental van. She received minor injuries and declined medical treatment at the scene. None of the dogs escaped the van, and none was injured, police said.
