Residents will have several opportunities over the next month to get help filing property taxes and rent rebates.

The staff for state Rep. Pam Snyder, D-Jefferson, will visit nine senior and community centers, mostly in Greene County, over the next month to help residents get the rebates.

The Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program is meant for residents 65 or older, widows and widowers 50 or older, and people with disabilities 18 or older. Income limit is $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 a year for renters.

The deadline to apply for a rebate on property taxes or rent paid in 2015 is June 30.

The sessions will be from 10 a.m. to noon each day of the upcoming schedule. They will be held March 8 at Bobtown Senior Center; March 9 at Mt. Morris Senior Center; March 10 at Waynesburg Senior Center; March 17 at Carmichaels Senior Center; March 21 at Beth-Center Senior Center; March 24 at West Greene Senior Center; March 30 at Jefferson Senior Center; March 31 at Monongahela Township Community Center; and April 7 at Masontown Senior Center.
