Police beat March 5
Retail theft: Patrick Gallagher, no age given, of 106 E. Fair Meadow Circle, Houston, faces a retail theft charge after he allegedly stole $20 worth of candy from a convenience store along Pike Street, police said.
Assault: Nichole Stewart, 25, of 1400 Main St., Canonsburg, was arraigned Friday by District Judge Traci McDonald-Kemp on charges of simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute Thursday in which she allegedly assaulted Andrew Ketner at their home, Cecil police said. Stewart was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Assault: Michael Anthony Maloy, 43, of 433 Ross St., was arraigned Friday by District Judge Traci McDonald-Kemp on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment after police responded to his residence Thursday for a fight between Maloy and Ruben Richards. Richards sustained multiple injuries and had to be transported to a hospital, police said. Maloy was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Drug charges: Christopher Logan, 45, of 430 Murray Ave., was arraigned Friday on drug charges following a June 2011 investigation where an informant arranged the purchase of Oxycodone pills and heroin from him, state police said. Logan was placed in Washington County jail on $75,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Multiple charges: Ashley Chalfant, 25, of 329 Main St., Belle Vernon, and Larry Glenn Bolling, 22, of 626 Twilight Drive, West Newton, each were arraigned Friday on charges of criminal conspiracy and retail theft. Police said the pair and another woman who has not been charged tried to take $434 worth of clothing from Kohl’s, Strabane Square. Bolling faces an additional charge of drug possession after a needle and spoon with heroin residue were found in his possession. Chalfant and Bolling were each placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond set by District Judge Traci McDonald-Kemp.
Retail theft: Lee Ann Lustic, 59, of 188 Barnett St., Washington, will be sent theft charges via summons following a March 2 incident in which South Strabane police said she used old or discarded receipts to return in-store merchandise for nearly $200 cash at Kohl’s.
Deer shot: Sidney Vaughn, 47, of 440 Addison St., faces a charge of reckless endangerment after he allegedly shot a doe Tuesday near Weaver Alley with children nearby. Police found in his possession .22- and .25-caliber rifles.
Simple assault: Charles Cole, 51, of 601 Broad St., will be sent a charge of simple assault following an incident Thursday in which he allegedly struck a woman several times in the face, police said.
Theft: Amanda Sloan, 26, of 890 Ewing St., will be sent theft charges after she allegedly stole a bank card from a neighbor and withdrew $486 from his account Wednesday, police said.
