WAYNESBURG – A Monongahela Township woman who stole a wallet that had been left by a customer on the counter at the Cumberland Township Sheetz store in August 2014 pleaded guilty Monday before Greene County Judge Lou Dayich.

Kimberly A. Tasker, 26, of 190 Fieldson Road, pleaded guilty to theft and criminal mischief and was sentenced to 6 days to 1 year in jail.

Tasker was given credit for time served. She was ordered to pay $150 in fines, perform 96 hours of community service and receive a drug and alcohol evaluation.

After being contacted by a woman who accidently left her wallet on the counter at Sheetz on Aug. 6, 2014, Cumberland Township police reviewed tape from a video surveillance camera and identified Tasker as the person who stole it.

A debit card in the wallet was later used to withdraw $83 at a bank in Morgantown, W.Va. Police said they were unable to identify the people who used the card from the bank surveillance video.
