I-70 traffic to be detoured for beam removal
Interstate 70 in the area of the Bentleyville interchange will be closed for several hours early Saturday and traffic will be detoured. The beams of the Route 917 bridge over the interstate will be removed. The bridge was closed Monday for demolition as part of the work to improve the interchange.
Interstate 70 traffic will be detoured beginning at midnight Friday using the Route 917 off-ramp onto Meadow Drive and back onto Interstate 70 westbound at the Route 917 westbound on-ramp. Interstate 70 eastbound traffic will be detoured off Interstate 70 at the Route 917 off-ramp onto Route 917 South into Bentleyville and back out Wilson Road to the Bentleyville exit, where traffic will reenter Interstate 70. The work will be completed by 6 a.m. Saturday.
