Raid nets indictment for heroin
Quenten Lamont Vaden, 33, of 140 Hart Ave., Washington, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on charges of trafficking heroin and fentanyl, according to U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton.
The two-count indictment returned March 8 charged Vaden with possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl in February.
Vaden was arrested in a late-night raid involving state and federal authorities Feb. 12 at his home that yielded 785 stamp bags of heroin, four ounces of cocaine and more than $9,000 in cash.
Vaden faces separate charges of possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances from that arrest. He was released from Washington County jail on $50,000 bond Feb. 16, according to court records.
He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on those charges before District Judge Robert Redlinger at 1 p.m. April 25.
Vaden was released from federal custody Thursday on the latest charges on $20,000 unsecured bond after a detention hearing.
