Throckmorton United Methodist Church in East View will have its community dinner tonight from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will include spaghetti and meatballs, tossed salad and fruit. Drinks and desserts are available. The meal is free, but donations are accepted. Everyone is welcome and takeout is available.
Eight downtown Waynesburg shops are celebrating the second Eggstravaganza with family-friendly activities from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. The activities include photos with the Easter Bunny at 5 Kidz Kandy, sand bottle creations at Purse-N-Ality, face painting at Artbeat, making beaded bracelets at B&B Jewelry, planting spring seeds at The Fashion Shop, egg picks at Made In America Gift Shoppe, live bunnies at Ruff Creek Crafts & Antiques and free promotional comics and card decks at 4 Horsemen Comics and Gaming. Wristbands are $5 and are good for a family of 4. Every shop also has eggs that contain discount coupons, prizes and free gifts. Golden eggs enters finder into a drawing for the grand prize Easter Basket with more than $500 in gifts donated from participating shops.
