PennDOT to close Crucible Road near Dry Tavern for bridge repairs
A section of Crucible Road near Dry Tavern will be closed for at least two months for a bridge restoration project, the state Department of Transportation announced Friday.
The closure will begin April 4, and be between Route 88 and Woodring Road, according to PennDOT.
It will allow crews to perform concrete repairs, sediment removal, scour protection, waterproofing and paving, PennDOT said.
The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen in mid-June, although that date could change, PennDOT said.
PennDOT will have a posted detour in place for drivers to take Route 88 onto Ferncliff Road back to Crucible Road.
