MT. PLEASANT (AP) – A 14-year-old boy has been charged with killing a 13-year-old boy at a home in western Pennsylvania.

The Westmoreland County coroner and Mt. Pleasant police aren’t releasing the victim’s name. But online court records show they’ve charged 14-year-old John Burnsworth with criminal homicide and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor.

Police haven’t detailed the circumstances of the shooting which occurred before 7 p.m. Sunday.

Mt. Pleasant is about 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for the suspect who has been sent to the county jail without bond and faces a preliminary hearing March 31.
