WAYNESBURG – A Clarksville man who pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances, his second offense in 10 years, was sentenced Tuesday by Greene County Judge Louis Dayich to two years in the state intermediate punishment program.

Albert William Tretinik, 60, of 33 Main St., was arrested for DUI on Sept. 11, 2011.

State police had received a report of an erratic driver whose vehicle had almost caused a crash and were told the vehicle was parked in a lot on Morris Street in Franklin Township, the criminal complaint said.

Arriving on scene, police said they were told the driver was attending an Alcoholic Anonymous meeting. Tretinik was asked to come outside the meeting room and was arrested for DUI.

Police said a blood test indicated a blood-alcohol content level of 0.251 percent and the presence of cocaethylene and benzoylecgonine, two controlled substances, in his system.

Tretinik was originally sentenced by the court in June 2012 to the county intermediate punishment program. He was re-sentenced Tuesday following violations of the terms of his probation.

Under the state program, Tretinik will serve seven month is a state prison, followed by participation in institutional and community-based drug and alcohol programs. He also was fined $1,550.
