PITTSBURGH (AP) – Investigators say two boys have been burned in an explosion while playing on a Pittsburgh street.
Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler tells The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that a 13-year-old and 7-year-old were playing with something that exploded around 9 p.m. on Monday.
Toler says the 13-year-old boy received second- and third-degree burns all over his body when his clothing caught fire. The younger boy suffered second-degree burns to his face. The boys were taken to UPMC Mercy.
