A country music concert will be held at New Freeport fire hall from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Smokey Robbins and Bob Podish will perform. Admission is $4 and the concert is sponsored by the ladies auxiliary.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793 in Waynesburg will hold its Vietnam Veterans Day ceremony Tuesday, beginning with a 6 p.m. program followed by a 7 p.m. social event with food and refreshments. The event, which is open to the public, commemorates the day in 1973 when the last American combat troops were withdrawn from Vietnam.
Penn State Extension’s annual meeting with the Farm Bureau is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Waynesburg. The agenda for the evening will include Greene County 4-H members Alexus Grecoe and Nathan Bilonick presenting on their experience at National Congress in Atlanta. Dinner will be catered by Back Bay and is $15 per person. Reservations are due by Monday, and can be made by calling the extension office at 724-627-3745.
