Westbound traffic on Interstate 376 between the McClaren Road interchange and the Beaver County line will be shifted at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Traffic will be switched to two 11-foot, 3-inch lanes on the newly reconstructed shoulder. Two westbound lanes and all exit ramps will be maintained during this phase of construction, which will continue into July.

To allow this phase to be implemented, there will be a single-lane restriction from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The westbound off ramp at the exit to Pittsburgh International Airport will be reduced to a single, 12-foot lane starting at 7 a.m. Monday for ramp reconstruction that will continue through mid-July. The ramp will remain open at all times throughout construction.

There also will be overnight, single-lane restrictions in each direction on I-376 as crews continue emergency pull-off area work, barrier setting and crossover work. There also will be single-lane restrictions on the eastbound side for this work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The work is part of a $66.34 reconstruction project on a 7.5-mile stretch of the highway. Overall work includes concrete reconstruction and rehabilitation, joint repairs, bridge deck overlays and guardrail and drainage improvements. Work will be completed in November 2017.
