Meth possession: Nathanial R. Freedman, 32, of 68 Lincoln St., Waynesburg, was charged by Cumberland Township police Monday with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they got a tip Saturday Freedman might have been in possession of methamphetamine. Police stopped Freedman’s vehicle late Monday night while he was driving east on Route 21 in Cumberland Township. Police said they found meth, a syringe and other paraphernalia in Freedman’s backpack.

Drug charge: Thelma M. Friday, 44, of 125 Cumberland Village, Carmichaels, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after state police said she was found with prescription pills and a pill crusher during a Jan. 30 traffic stop on Route 21 in Franklin Township.
