Police beat March 31
Drug arrest: Luke Raymond Ehler, 20, of Hummelstown, Dauphin County, was arrested Tuesday night by California police on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of Xanax and possession of paraphernalia. Police were called about 9:40 p.m. for a report of loud music and found it coming from a car in the 500 block of Wood Street. Ehler was standing outside the vehicle. Inside the car, police said they could see a plastic bag containing a large amount of suspected marijuana. Police said Ehler also was found with the other suspected drugs. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.
Assault arrest: Timothy J. Harding, 56, of 5 Langer Lane, Lawrence, was arrested Wednesday by Cecil police on a charge of simple assault in connection with a March 22 incident at his home. Harding is accused of punching his wife, Lucinda Harding, in the face during a confrontation in the bedroom of her home. She refused treatment. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released from Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Theft charges: Andrew Rosik and Jessica VanPool, 27, both of 211 Johnson Ave., Belle Vernon, will be charged with retail theft by South Strabane police after the pair allegedly stole merchandise from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, on March 24. Police were given a description of their vehicle, and an officer spotted it as he was responding to the call. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
DUI charge: Tracey Wharton, 55, of 49 Seminole Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with driving under the influence of alcohol after she allegedly told police she had been driving before calling them to her home to report criminal mischief to her vehicle Tuesday. Wharton told police a chunk of asphalt was thrown at her vehicle and identified the suspects. Police said they could smell alcohol on her and her blood-alcohol content was above the legal limit. Charges also are pending against a suspect accused of damaging her vehicle.
Game system stolen: Joe Lucy of 54 Acheson Ave. told police Tuesday a television, game system and games were stolen from his house. He found the items at a local pawn shop. Police have suspects.
Access device fraud: Kimberly Ann Fegley, 46, of Pennsburg, Montgomery County, was charged Wednesday with access device fraud after she allegedly used information from a credit card owned by Lance and Debb Vallee to make six unauthorized purchases that she had delivered to her at her job in Quakerstown, Bucks County, last November.
Theft arrest: Valencia Lynn Barnes, 42, of Allison, Fayette County, was arrested Tuesday by West Brownsville police on a charge of retail theft after she allegedly stole various items valued at $331.60 on March 18 from Walmart, West Brownsville. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
