PennDOT releases schedule
The state Department of Transportation announced the tentative work schedule for Greene County roads starting Monday.
Maintenance activities are conducted weather permitting. Motorists should drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights, Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerry Simkovic said.
• Bridge replacement work will be done on state Route 1017 in Jefferson and in Cumberland townships.
• Bridge flushing will be conducted on various routes in Greene County, including Interstate 79 near Waynesburg and Route 218.
• Shoulder back up on state Route 3013 and Route 3014 in Wayne and Jackson townships.
• Spray patching potholes on various routes in Greene County.
• Base repairs on various routes in Gilmore, Jackson, Springhill, Aleppo, Freeport and Dunkard townships.
• Brush cutting and litter pick up on Route 218 in Franklin and Wayne townships.
• Seal coating on various routes in Jackson, Gilmore, Freeport, Aleppo, Wayne and Richhill townships.
• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
