Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will shut off water on Elm Street, between Washington and Morris streets, in Waynesburg between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. today to make system upgrades. Customers might experience low pressure or no water and are advised to keep containers of water on hand to minimize the outage.
Greene County Children & Youth Services will hold a Foster Care Recruitment Ice Cream Social from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday on Greene County Courthouse Lawn in Waynesburg. Attendees can learn how they can help children in Greene County while enjoying ice cream.
A senior dance featuring Classic Memories band will be held at Jefferson Community Center Saturday from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. Concessions will be sold to benefit Jefferson United Methodist Children’s Activity Fund. Join the dance for good music, good food and good fun.
Cornerstone Care is hosting a “Night at the Races” fundraising event Saturday at Lakeview Resort in Morgantown, W.Va., to benefit its Mobile Medical Program. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and feature horse racing, a DJ and dancing, along with a Chinese auction and 50/50 drawing.
