Desk worker fatally shot at motel in Pittsburgh suburbs
JEFFERSON HILLS, Pa. (AP) — Police say someone fatally shot a desk clerk at a motel in the Pittsburgh suburbs.
Allegheny County police are trying to determine whether the shooting at the Jefferson Hills Motel early Friday was part of a robbery or some other kind of event.
The shooting was reported about 4:30 a.m. at the hotel named for the suburb of the same name along Route 51 south of Pittsburgh.
Police were hoping to review security video for clues about what happened.
The victim’s name was not immediately released.
