Assault charge: Ronald W. Pataski Jr., 45, no address given, was charged with simple assault after he allegedly struck a woman in the eye and mouth Oct.7 at 229 Happy Valley Road, state police said.

Burglary: State police are seeking information regarding a burglary at a residence on Garrison Ridge Road about 5 p.m. Oct. 18 in which two handguns, a jewelry box, drawer safe, cash and other items were stolen. Police said two suspects in their 20s or mid-30s with brown or black hair, one with a beard, stocky and round face, left the residence in a white or beige late-model 1980s Ford 150 pickup.
