A McKeesport man has been ordered to stand trial in Allegheny County Court in a Mon Valley shooting that killed a Belle Vernon man and injured two women outside a bar.

Judge Jeffrey A. Manning on Wednesday ordered Joshua Wardlaw, formerly of Monessen, to trial when the suspect appeared for his preliminary hearing on charges of homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, court records show.

Wardlaw, 21, remains in Allegheny County Jail without bond. He has been held there since being extradited from Louisiana following his arrest as a fugitive Sept. 9.

Allegheny County police accuse Wardlaw of shooting and killing Johnathan Minnie, 27, of Belle Vernon, about 2 a.m. in the parking lot of Saloon 136 at Routes 906 and 136. Two 27-year-old women where injured in the gunfire.

Wardlaw is to appear for his formal arraignment at 9 a.m. Dec. 16.
