Mailbox damaged: State police said a black truck struck and destroyed the mailbox at 163 Eldersville Road Tuesday and continued westbound toward West Virginia. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-223-5200.

Drug charge: Karen Lee Degrange, 49, of 1128 Fourth St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with possessing nine stamp bags of heroin and possessing drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, court records show. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charges Thursday in a summons.

Assault alleged: Derek Anthony Desalvo, 22, of 372 Forrest St., Rostraver Township, is accused of making terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Desalvo of threatening to strike a female juvenile in the head with a hammer and throwing items at her about 8:05 a.m. Oct. 30 in his residence. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges via summons Wednesday.

Man charged: Thomas Ernest Bragdon, 43, of 32. E. Highland Ave, Uniontown, is charged by township police with making a false statement and providing false information for a firearm purchase about 5:15 p.m. July 12 at The Gun Rack, 1189 Route 136, court records show. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges this week in a summons.

Disorderly conduct citation: Ashley Fields, 28, was cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly kicking the inside door of a police cruiser after Washington police took her into custody for refusing to leave a residence at 695 Ewing St. Thursday.

Man cited: Melvin Gray, 30, of Monongahela, was cited by Washington police with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct for allegedly taking a pack of cigarettes from a car parked in the lot of Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St., Thursday morning.

Vehicle reported stolen: Timothy Dillard of Sumner Avenue reported to police that his silver 2007 Buick Lucerne was stolen between 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday morning while it was parked outside his house.

House damaged: Jeffrey Nicolella reported to police that someone entered his property at 886 Addison St. between 3:20 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday and broke a sprayer on a sink, causing the water to run all night and flood the kitchen and basement.
